This is an early test terrain populated with palms, bamboo, and other ground cover. The trick with the terrain is not making it too big. You’d think you’d want a great, big sprawling terrain. However, the camera only sees so much, and to populate the whole thing with ground cover and trees would bring the renderer to its knees pretty fast. Putting a layer of fog in there would probably add a bit more to the atmosphere, so I’ll try that as well. Surprisingly, these take much less time to render than the scenes where the planes are higher, and there are clouds. For reference, the plane here is about 300 feet AGL.
Time for lunch, more later!
