Texturing in Vue Studio

Here’s the latest work after importing the plane into Vue Studio…

The texture maps for the imported mesh have to be done in layers within a grouped texture.  This meant going back into my image editing program and doing some editing so everything but the base diffuse color layer could be a .PNG file with an alpha mask.  The end result was something that looks more like the prior non-Vue renderings I made previously.  I’m kind of excited about the progress made here…

I’ll need to tweak reflection and gloss maps, but so far it’s looking much more like I want it to look.  Pretty soon I’ll be able to make some ground terrain and set some clouds in the air (more reading, more experimentation).  More to come…
